Choosing Health Over Hustle
The last few days have been a blur at work, and I noticed how easily the things I enjoy were pushed to the side. It’s a tough feeling, wanting to show up for your responsibilities while also wishing you had more time for the simple joys that make life feel balanced.

I’m reminding myself of one non-negotiable, never trade my health for productivity. I’m doing my best to eat well, hydrate, and protect my sleep, especially on weekends. This is my reset window, slower mornings, real meals, short walks, quiet time, and, if I’m lucky, an afternoon nap. It’s not glamorous, but it’s how I keep my mind clear and my body steady when work tries to take more than it should.

If you’re reading this and feeling stretched thin too, I hope you choose yourself today. Your job matters, but not more than your well-being. Small actions add up, log off on time, prep a simple healthy meal, take a 15-minute stretch break, and block off your weekend for actual rest, not just catching up on chores. The work will still be there on Monday. You don’t have to be.

I’m learning to let go of the guilt that comes with resting. Rest isn’t laziness, it’s maintenance. And maintenance is what lets us show up better, think clearer, and live longer.

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” — Anne Lamott

Take your health and your life seriously. Work will always ask for more. Let’s be the ones who know when to say “enough for today.”

Have a great weekend ahead!
