I have heard this story many times from my wife, but it is still hard for me to believe. 

"I was in middle school, on a trip to Arizona with mom to visit her college friends.  Around her  college friends , of course she had to act like she was still in college, because Mom is just like that. They all met up at a Mexican restaurant in the mall, and when a board was presented with a range of hot peppers, of course Mom had to be the big shot, and grabbed the hottest one. (They were all fairly drunk, though I was unaware at the time) Instead of just taking a nibble, she took a huge bite. Instantaneously, she vomited. Not to the side, and not discreetly. All over the table. "

"I, being the shocked preteen, and apparent social vomit-er that I am, proceeded to follow her example - all over the table. In my haste to contain what was coming out and rush to the nearest  restroom, I noticed the couple at the table next to us were throwing up as well.  Next thing I knew, there was vomit everywhere. People all over the restaurant were losing their lunches, so to speak. It was a puke-apocalypse, and there were no survivors. "

"In the midst of the chaos, one of the hapless employees reacted quickly to close the restaurant/ horror movie set. I remember standing there and puking, with groans and vomit being emitted on all sides as the roll down gate in the restaurant's mall entrance was lowering, like the gates of hell, closing us in to our horrible and disgusting fate."

"Needless to say, Mom left a sizable tip that night."
