Far too often I take for granted that I live on an island and have the access to a gorgeous beach basically whenever I want.  For me it is all I have ever known, and when you've known the same thing for so long, its easy to forget how valuable it truly is.  Hitting the beach yesterday on one of the first warm spring days was a reminder on what I have been missing out on. I really couldn't care less that there was still snow all over the sand since I was so pleased with just taking a simple walk and remembering that the sun does shine!!!  And that soon winter snow storms will be out of sight and out of mind. 

There are people in this world and maybe even here on steemit that may never have experienced traveling to a beach and that perspective makes me appreciate where I live, even if I fantasize about moving to another location. 

So to anyone reading this think about where you live, could be your home, town or even country, and think about what you appreciate and what someone else in this world might be missing out on that you take for granted.
