Hello, gamers. Welcome back to my blog. <center>  </center> <center>  </center> As you may already know from my recent post that I love this Hunting game that I bought recently from Steam winter sales called theHunter: Call of the Wild. In the [last post](https://peakd.com/hive-140217/@pravesh0/silver-ridge-peaks-reserve-is-beautiful-oror-thehunter-call-of-the-wild), I joined an online session which was hosting the "Silver Ridge Peaks Reserve" and that was one of the most beautiful reserves in the entire game. While that reserve is in North America, I now have switched to a new reserve in Central Europe. This is a private park called the **Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve**, which seems to have a diverse population of big game. <center>  </center> --- Corneli "Connie" Holzer is the warden here. She gave me my first mission of spotting, tracking and harvesting an animal which was not difficult to find. I quickly spotted a **Roe deer**, it was standing right in the middle of this path, you can't miss this. I aimed at its right lung with my Ranger .243 rifle. This rifle covers animals having class 2-6 and Roe deer is a class 3 animal only. <center>  </center> --- I knew after looking at the blood splatter that my bullet hit a vital organ and no way this small deer will survive a vital shot. <center>  </center> --- I had to track it down with my dog and to my surprise, it travelled about 200 meters. I didn't expect that as it weighed only 14 kg. Anyways, I found my kill and harvested it. This marks the completion of my first mission in this park. <center>  </center> --- I love the fact that you can switch between any reserve and each reserve has some exclusive animals only found there. Also, this switching between reserves will not erase any progress from your missions. My next mission was to get to a base. My first objective was to locate a base camp, for this I had to climb on a watch tower and survey the area. It was easy, as I spawned close to a watch tower. They are called lookout points btw. <center>  </center> --- <center>  </center> --- Each reserve/map has a few tutorial missions to complete before you can get to more advanced missions and each mission will increase in difficulty as well. I was on my way when I saw a **Red Deer** in front of me. He was about to get spooked when I spotted him with my binoculars. He was already *fleeing* from the area. <center>  </center> --- I took out my rifle and even tried to shoot him while he was almost running now. Of course, I missed the target completely. Moving targets are easier to miss in this game. I did not go after him as he was already spooked and might not return to the area for a long time. <center>  </center> --- I saw some old tracks created by **Wild boars**. They are more active at night. While I was heading towards an outpost, I saw a **Red Deer** sitting on the ground. It was a thick forest but I was lucky to spot it. <center>  </center> --- I snuck closer and took a shot with my rifle. I didn't like my first shot so, I took another shot while it was running. I was confident that I hit both shots but any of those vital shots? I was not sure. <center>  </center> --- I had to track this doe for a little over 2 km with my trusty companion. He eventually found this kill. <center>  </center> --- I saw that none of the shots was vital shots, the second shot was a little better and missed the right lung by a slight margin. Nonetheless, I got some cash and my first Red deer. It was enough procrastination for the day so, I went straight to the outpost and unlocked it. This marked the end of my second mission. <center>  </center> --- Oh, and I found an antler as well. Extra cash and XP won't hurt xD. <center>  </center> This part of the reserve has thick forests and a good population of deer, but hunting them in this habitat can be difficult. My favourite reserve so far for hunting is the Savana. It has large open grassy fields and a lot of big animals. If you have some powerful long-range weapon then Savana is the most efficient way to hunt. I will explore more of this reserve and then only will give my full review about this one.
