Vincent’s eyes remained fixed on the barrel of the gun pointed at him. He knew for a fact that he was a goner and begging for his life was fruitless. He had double crossed a man that no one dared to. 

But Vincent has not been given a choice either. The man he works for had a lot of enemies, powerful enemies and he knew he had been lucky that they had not come after him all this while but he knew it was only but a matter of time. Ten years of working for Dominic from the shadows, hoping and praying that not one of his enemies sniffed him out but he had ran out of luck one day when he got home to see his wife and kid looking terrified.

The source of their fear who soon known to him as he saw a man with a coat who had a gun in his hand pointed at Vincent. The man was accompanied by a huge man who seemed to be in charge of making sure Vincent’s wife and kid didn’t make a sound.

They were one of Dominic’s many enemies and they had come for Vincent for some information, information he had to give or watch his family been slaughtered by the huge man before himself is killed. The men had requested for just one thing, Doninic’s whereabout.

For the past ten years Vincent worked with the man, no one has ever seemed to know the whereabout of Dominic as he always made sure to cover his tracks, no one but Vincent. And so for the safety of his family and him, he told them what they needed to know. And as the men left his home that night, he prayed for only one thing, for Dominic to be caught and killed because he knew if Dominic was to get out alive, then all he had done to protect himself and his family tonight would all be a waste.

That same night, Vincent had heard about the attack on Dominic but no matter how hard he try to find out if the men had successfully killed him, he always came up with nothing. He tried for about a week and later gave up. He decided that Dominic must be dead since he hasn’t tried to contact him. 

So Vincent continued his life like nothing happened. But about a week later, he had been kidnapped and blindfolded while he was trying to get into his car, and when the blindfold was removed, he had almost passed out. Standing right in front of him was no other person but Dominic himself, looking like he hadn’t aged a day with not even a scratch on him. It was like his place had not been riddled with bullet two weeks ago.

Vincent tried to play dumb and asked why he had been blindfolded to come see his boss but one look from Dominic told him all he needed to know, he was a dead man.

And so as Vincent stared at the gun been pointed at him by Dominic, he asked for only one thing, that his family were left alive.
