I’m probably not the only on here who really has no handle on his growing portfolio of tokens. It’s easy enough to check your Steem, SP, and SBD balances but outside of those it gets a bit murkier.

Various dApps let you earn tokens here from delegating some of your Steem Power or by using their services. And it’s not even always obvious that you’re earning them. There are probably some people who’ve upvoted posts without realizing that they’ve just accrued some fraction of a HUNT token.

Some dApps have opted to go the ERC-20 route as a stopgap until the release of Smart Media Tokens. Some are using Steem-Engine. Others are simply building databases prior to actually issuing tokens. With so many different protocols, might it even be possible for a dev to build a dApp that allowed people to keep track of all their tokens?

And then what *value* might be assigned to any of them? Most at this point are lottery tickets. Possibly a jackpot, perhaps one of the smaller lottery prizes, maybe zilch. In a few cases, we’re starting to at least have a vague approximate idea. Steemhunt is going through an IEO phase, with an initial $0.02 valuation. So my 17,587.75 HUNT tokens are at least nominally valued at something like $350. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. And AFIT tokens can be converted into upvotes that can earn SP and SBD, but only 20 AFIT at a time once every five days or so. Since I have 46564.97 of them, that process doesn’t even keep up with how fast I’m earning them, but it’s at least some version of a price discovery mechanism. Perhaps though it’s a mistake to still be thinking of *value* in “How much fiat can I get for them?” terms. Would thinking in terms of Steem or BTC be the better way to go?

I’m accruing tokens for some of my outgoing delegations (some also pay out small amounts of Steem or SDB). Somewhere out there, I’m accruing tokens from at least four (maybe six?) of the dApps that I’m delegating to. I’m pretty sure that I’m accruing tokens due to delegations to @cleanplanet and @dlux-io but what about @dclick or @vimm or @wherein? And what about dApps that I used to delegate to but don’t anymore? Have I accrued SpaceCase tokens somewhere and totally lost track of them?
