>*But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. (Eph 5:3 NIV )* Image source pinterest.com In the very first verse of chapter 5, we see, ”as dearly loved children “ In the verse above, we see things that are “improper for God’s holy people” *If we want to keep our status as “dearly beloved children” of God, then there are certain things that are “proper” for us, and things that are “improper”.* *We cannot please God and satan simultaneously!* We do hurt God by our actions. *Does God grieve? *Does He have emotions? >*The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. (Gen 6:6)* >*And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. (Eph 4:30)* God spent a heavy price for you and me. It will hurt the heart of God very much, if He sees things that are “improper for God’s standard”, in us *Sometimes, we may be under pressure from others. Satan will come to us like in Eden, and talk through “friends”, “It is O.K to have some beer” or to do a little “this and that”….* We may not stop with that. It might only be the beginning…. We should not crucify Jesus again. Jesus has a reason to demand a Holy life from us-in our thoughts, words, looks, actions… He sacrificed Himself for us *Keep looking at Jesus. Keep talking to Him and listen to Him; we won’t then have time to look at the bad things or talk and hear bad things!* *God bless your day!* **Prayer for today food of though** *Lord Jesus, than you for loving me with your whole heart. I admit that I don’t love you with my whole heart. Many times, I sang “I surrender all”, but I never did, and I was lying. Forgive me Lord. Help me to change for good. Amen*
