Cold days are boring and if it is gloomy and dark, I don't find any inspiration to do anything. A day before yesterday we had a little bit of snow here in Almere. It was nothing compared to Ukraine though seeing the snowfall, I was missing Ukraine. I used to enjoy the first day of snow and wrote many posts about it before. Well, Gigi enjoyed the snow a lot, in fact, she loves snow. She grew up in the snow, I used to take her out often on heavy snowy days and we used to play with the snow. Seeing her joy and happiness with the little fallen snow had reminded my good old days. Those days were different and unique. Snowfall started around 6.30 am and I was at work. I instantly took a break to see and touch the soft fallen snowflakes because it was something relatable to my life and myself. My supervisor didn't say anything in fact seeing my face and emotions, she told me to go out and has given me a 10-minute extra break. Anyway, today it is also very cold and I was shivering the whole day. Well, I wore warm clothes but the workplace was cold. I didn't work too much today in fact I did nothing. I was feeling lazy and I guess I can make my one day slower than the other days. Not all of my days are perfect. <br>  <br> I took one photo during my second break (smoking break) while it was snowing outside. I wish I could have said everything turned out white quickly because the snowfall was not so heavy and didn't stay longer... It was beautiful though...  <br> This whole weekend I was working but like I said I didn't push myself to work hard, instead, I took everything slow and relaxed. I have noticed one thing about me, my music taste completely changed and somehow I started listening to trending songs and most of them are rap (Hip Hop Music) songs (full of slang:D) which are kinda shocking. I normally don't listen to such kind of music, I used to listen to soft and melodious music. Anyway, after my work today I had decided to go to the city center of Almere, after all, it is Sunday. Today's work was not stressful at all in fact I have shown my mood to everybody, I really hope they don't fire me because of this :D. The city center was very quiet because of the cold weather. People normally prefer to stay at home instead of walking outside if it is not urgent. By the way, my workplace provides lunch for the employees but I don't eat those. They are pure dutch food and I just can't eat those anymore. I can make my own sandwich there but I don't do that often. So, after work, my reason was to go to the city center to find a cheap food shop to eat something. <br>   |||| |----------- |------------------------ |------ | --- While walking, suddenly I saw a fish shop. Because of my curiosity, I have decided to go inside. Don't ask me the shop name, I couldn't read what was written outside and also I didn't pay attention to the shop name as well. I just know the location. The shop is very small but they sell fresh fish from the river, lake and the sea. Dutch people love to eat Herring fish which they call **Soused herring (Hollandse Nieuwe)**. I tried it once and didn't like it. I don't like raw fish at all and many people love to eat **Soused herring (Hollandse Nieuwe)**. This soused herring is very popular here. <br>  ||| |----------- |------------------------ | --- When I was looking around and trying to figure out the shop, the shopkeeper asked me in Dutch what I want. When I said I don't speak Dutch then he switched to English and started asking me what I am looking for. Then he showed me different kinds of SLA made of fish and told me I can order a fish meal there. He said, I can choose what kind of fish I would like to eat and create my own meal as well, they can give me freshly fried fish as well. I started looking at the fish and asked him to show me the sea fish station. I ended up ordering **Atlantic cod (Kabeljauw) fish** that I have never tasted before and just believed in my instinct. I also ordered fried prawns for takeaway as well. The man asked me what kind of fry I would like to have, I only said, I like deep fry but fish should be juicy and I don't like to have a fish smell so give me extra lemon and garlic sauce. :D <br>   <br> The shopkeeper showed me a place to sit and started frying the fish in front of me. Well, after some time he presented a nice platter in front of me and said enjoy. He also added some salad with boiled egg slices with the fish filet. Anyway, the fish was delightful and delicious. It was not dry at all in fact it was perfectly marinated fried fish. I spent only 9 euros on this platter and 6 euros on the friend prawns. It was not expensive at all compared to the platter he presented to me. Later again he came back to ask me if I like the fish or not, during our conversation I came to know he is the owner of the shop and he does most of the cooking all alone. Interesting... Well, many people come to the shop to have either fried fish or salad. Some buy fresh fish as well. My Sunday has ended up well but a small accident happened to me one hour ago...
