 Welcome to the fourth weekly eXode #oneup report! The 14 colonists who have landed on planet Casrarene are starting to get antsy. Who can blame them? Most of them haven't even left the ark.  *Courtesy of SteemNova* The ice world of Casrarene is a dark and uncomfortable place. It has been affecting the happiness of the settlers. Some, however, have gotten the chance to get rest up, which has positively improved their mood. <div class="pull-left"> https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/proto26/23uQfqHNdoGR8Zaf5xUK79WPpppZrgDjXBHSepBAqxC2abzckbzXdozfCVXgDThy6uCQ4.png </div> Oksana, the de facto leader of the colony, is doing pretty well for herself. She keeps busy away from the camp scouting out the planet's strange life forms and resources. In between expeditions, she rests to her heart's content. It's no wonder she is so happy. The rest of the citizens look up to her. She is the most capable person with weapons on the planet. The other "eggheads" barely know which part of the Firetalker is the business end! Eliza does not appreciate weapons, nor being called an egghead. She still packs a Judgment Day just to be safe, though. Eliza prefers to stay behind, poring over the observations Vera Bama makes on the relevant raw materials the planet has to offer. There is another pacifist among us, Erias Meormor.  We tried to issue Erias a firearm but he declined. All he said was, "These hands were made for fixing things, not killing things." He hasn't been in a very good mood either ever since the eXodus. It's still very fresh in his head. Erias spends his sols in his universal fixer suit, fixing little things here and there (it's literally the only thing he is good at). The ark itself needs repair badly. After all, we did sort of crash land (nice job, Oksana). We'll cross that bridge when we get there.  Some people have reported seeing groups of flying creatures in the distance. They appear very large and menacing and the people have taken to calling them Yellow Ebebopi. The camp also cannot shake the feeling that they are being watched. Oksana has already scouted out several species of fauna. It is only a matter of time before an altercation occurs. Luckily, everyone (except Erias) has a gun. Perhaps, even with the researchers' bad aim, we could scare off attacking wildlife. The goal right now is to observe them, not attack. Animals are very perceptive. They may pick up on this and not put up much of a fight. The *last* thing we need is a prolonged fight with an unknown creature and limited ammunition.  So far, our small society is running smoothly. Pretty soon though, I think, people's true personalities will come through. There will likely be conflicts, enemies, but hopefully some good friends too. The passengers have not mingled with each other yet. They are confined to their quarters until I, the captain, decide what to do with them. I keeping an especially close eye on that mysterious robot. I hope that the tech expert and Erias become friends. He could use some close ties to another human being (I hear him talk to his tools sometimes). I'm sure this wasn't the internship that cute science student signed up for, poor thing. And I really don't know what to make of that unstable kid; I can't tell if he's a genius or a dud! Okay, I've spent enough time on the terminal. Time to get back to administrative duties like sending out more expeditions to uncover the variety of ores found within Casrarene to use as building materials for housing and repairs.
