Freedom of Thought At Stake.

Of all kinds of super powers to wish for, mind reading will be the cause of unending headaches of anyone who possesses such power. Literally knowing what's going on everyone's mind without needing permission might seem or sound cool but it is definitely not worth it. Imagine listening to people's thoughts uncontrollably: imagine being able to read minds that are as far as a 100 feet away from you and you can't necessarily filter it except you block your ears with maybe a headset.

I have no idea exactly how I'd react if I find out that my partner can read mind, I mean she has been able to read minds even before we met. I would have mixed feelings, shocked, unsafe and at same time be silent for a long while. I can be weird at times so instead of letting out my feelings through words which will certainly not be enough to express myself, I will rather let her have her way as usual: leave her to read my mind and reply too.

Not confiding in me would be enough to hurt me already because I was never safe around her, my thoughts were like open pages of a book waiting to be read by anyone. Fact is that her telling me about her super ability to read mind won't stop her from being able to read my mind, neither will there be a way for me to hide my thoughts. The human mind is can act independently of its own accord, you don't have to prompt it to think. So, there can't be anything hidden, she would still have unrestricted access to read my mind, especially if it's that kind that is not controlabe.

Finding out will make me feel so insecure because naturally we human love to own ourselves and our stuffs, even if any other person will have access, we will love to give the permission ourselves and, not access being forced.

I think I will be so skeptical if I knew before getting into a relationship with a person who can read mind. I am not being biased but it will be a lot of issues if a lady can read the mind of her lover. You know how observant the female gender is and how they can so intuitive. Surfing through my thoughts and she decides to throw me a question from one of my thoughts that I am not ready to share with her. Imagine I deny it or avoid the question, a lady will definitely be furious at that. Men like to think thoroughly before presenting the problem but women wants to be part of the whole thinking process and that might be a big issue if she has already read the guy's mind and the guy denies her the chance to.

I would not even support if it's a guy or a lady that has such powers, it isn't going to end well because it is first a breach of privacy and secondly can be a potential source of unsaid malice, cold attitudes and unnecessary arguments.

It will be a deal breaker for me, inspite of how much I love her. I know the amount of danger that ability can have over two lovers after a period of times. Some thoughts aren't actually bad but only becomes bad and source of a problem when it is known by another person. Let's be real, as a guy walking with my girlfriend in a public place. While talking and laughing together, I saw another beautiful lady and thoughts like 'yooo this she is so beautiful, fair and so clean'.... And my girlfriend has already read that as it came to mind. She might not be okay with that and that might bring some moments of pleading and explaining.
