Hello friends! How are you? I hope you are felling great! Today i want to talk about centralized and decentralized systems, first I'll give you some examples:

-Centralized: Facebook, Youtube, our internet provider and our monetary system.
-Descentralized: Steemit, Dtube, the cryptocurrency's monetary system.

A centralized system is characterized by an net structure in which each participant element is a producer or consumer of information, a central processor is needed. Some of his main characteristics are:

-Universal Hardware
-Relative simple programming language
-Medium cost, high offer
-Central control

A decentralized system is characterized by an net structure in which each participant element is processor, producer and consumer of information and by this main reason doesn't need a central processor. Some of his main characteristics are:

-No Universal Hardware, excluding GPU's
-Specific programming language
-High cost, limited offer
-Distributed control

For you to visualize this, I'll give an example, the most wellknow example of a natural descentralized system is given by some insect colonies in wich the control is distributed between biological homogenous agents that act with local information and local interactions; by example, the ants guide their global behaviour (in terms of foraging, patrolling, brood care, and nest maintenance) using a pulsing, shifting web of spatio-temporal patterned interactions that rely on antennal contact rate and olfactory sensing. While these interactions consist of both interactions with the environment and each other, ants do not direct the behaviour of other ants and thus never have a "central controller" dictating what is to be done to achieve global goals.

In my personal opinion, I lean towards decentralized systems because the the functionality of the system is distributed among all usersand over time we have seen that those who sustain centralized systems are susceptible to corruption and perpetuate it.

I hope you like it and see you next time!
