My thoughts after spending my first week with 25sp
Hello, I'm a new user to steemit who had wished to invest in the STEEM blockchain. I'd heard from so many people that not only is STEEM the most technologically advanced blockchain but its also the only blockchain pushing over 10,000k tps that has actually had a mainnet up for 2+ years. I find this to be very impressive compared to other blockchains such as EOS who tote crazy numbers but have never actually had a chance to test them under real world conditions.

Now I understand that the blockchain is fee-less and extremely fast but why does that matter when I'm limited severely by my lack of resource credits. I understand that this is still a work in progress and that things are being hammered out, but if thats the case why are people running around trying to act as it this blockchain is any more ready for adoption than any other. While voicing my complaints this past week, I've been told that the STEEM blockchain is much more than steemit and that I should not be gauging things at face value here. **SOON** developers will be coming out with DAOs that have their own interfaces and SMTs that all have different needs and interact differently with the blockchain.

I'm sick and tired of **SOON**. STEEM was sold to me as a blockchain that has more to offer than soon. Soon to me sounds like the current developers have no idea what they're doing and rolled out a huge problem of a system that was supposed to fix something that wasn't broken to begin with. I've been told that the new system was supposed to make new accounts cheaper and sustainable over the long term, but I don't understand how that is going to help if the new accounts cannot have an enjoyable time with their first interaction with the blockchain? If the problem with attracting new users and investors was that they could not get a free taste of what the blockchain has to offer, then how in the world do yoou expect people to pay even more with the new RC system than they had to before?

Please correct me if im wrong but the if the problem was that people who would not or could not spend $25 to make an account on day one basially would not or could not sign up at all then why make the barrier for entry even higher? It really seems to me here that the people in control are insanely out of touch with reality here.
