## Let's face it, there is no denying, steemit is gonna be huge. 
There's new Facebook in town and were here because we want to be a part of it. How awesome is it to be involved in steemit in its infancy! But now is the time to load up before its mainstream. So how can we become Whales while its still relatively easy? (You gotta get your account over $100,000 to be considered a Whale) Well I'm only 5 days on steemit so far so here's the steps I'm gonna follow:
# Step 1:
**Buy some steem if your account is still tiny**.. Instead of waiting and working on posts and slowly multiplying $5 steem power to $7 steem power to $9 steam power and so on.. That could take weeks of hard work for a slow start and could be discouraging to be making such small amounts on your work. So instead power yourself up to $100 for steam power and then you can start actually working up from there. It will save a lot of beginning time and get the ball rolling.
# Step 2: 
Work on posting **quality posts** that readers care about. Like this post, on becoming a Whale. Because everyone wants to be a Whale on steemit. Basically you want to look at your subject matter and ask yourself these questions. **Do I have something of value to say or offer my readers? And how big of an audience will this message interest?**
Getting upvotes through posting is one of the best ways to earn steem power.
# Step 3: 
**Upvote posts that you think will get popular.** Once you have enough steem power, you can grow your account just by upvoting alone. Then you can really work on only posting high quality posts, because you won't need to be a posting machine any longer to try to raise your account balance.
So whats the advantage to becoming a WHALE on steemit? 
For starters, your steem power will just grow on its own. Thats what they call a passive income, FOREVER!! I'd say that's a pretty huge benefit, wouldn't you? Also, lets not forget the coins are sooo cheap still. (at this time there around $3.50ish) But as they grow to $20 and $30 and beyond your account will balloon beyond your wildest dreams.
