There is always the awkward one...

At some point, you just can't adapt anymore. I was close to my 10-year anniversary with the organisation that I worked for. I put my heart and soul into the work that I did there, but they asked for something else. I had to fit in. They "just didn't know what to do" with me anymore. "Just let me do my job", wasn't the answer they wanted to hear. "Follow in line" was contradicting everything that my soul needed. Freedom, purpose, creativity, honesty and a challenge were one by one cut from my job. 

Completely empty I took a plane to Sicily. After two days just hanging around the swimming pool like a zombie, I saw some swallows on the tent cables. Sitting there, almost perfectly in line. Except for the awkward one. But that was okay...
