I'm a Nigerian and a Yoruba girl to be precise. Whenever I tell my fellow Yoruba people that my name is Bisolami, they are always surprised because the real name is Bisola but I prefer it when people call me Bisolami. It means my Bisola. What's the meaning of my name? It means a child who is born in a wealthy home. Well, to an extent, my parents did not make the mistake of giving me that name. We are not very rich and we are not poor either. We are just in the average class doing well and not doing more than ourselves. That is basically the meaning of my name but there are times when I feel like there is a little mistake. My names implies that I'm from a wealthy home whereas I'm not. I'm just from that home where we are striving hard to make money. 

So it makes me think if there is a mistake somewhere and that is why I want to change a lot of things about myself so that my life can go with my name. I work all day and night. I work both offline and online to make sure that I make money. I don't ever want to be poor in my life. I really want to make sure that I'm very wealthy and I can afford any kind of thing I want to buy. If I'm wealthy, my name will be more meaningful to me since I already have enough money.

Also, I love my name so much. It is a very popular name in the Yoruba land but it is not very common. You hardly see three out of a hundred people who bear this name and that's why I love it more. I would not have loved it if it was a name that almost everyone bears and it would not be special to me anymore.

Actually, I'm that girl who is so lovely and I treat people the way I want to be treated. Everyone in my life is so special to me no matter how less important you may think you are. I treat everyone like they are mine and I believe that is how people should treat me too. That is how I was able to come up with the concept of Bisolami and that is what most of my friends call me. That means my girl who is from a wealthy home and that's how people treat me...lol.

I'm glad that this is the name my parents gave to me. I know some people who are not happy with the names their parents gave to them and they mostly change the names when they grow up but my parents gave me the name I would love when I'm fully grown and I'm happy about that. I love my name so much and I love the fact that people treat me or give me some special kind of treatment because of my name.
