**A Voice of Your Conscience** Hello Dear Friends, Today I take a peek into one of the most common methods of self-reflection that one encounters. We humans are very complex creatures and apart from the gift of a brain, our emotion sets us apart from other living beings. Human emotions are vivid and what is interesting is how these emotions surface. Today I try to deconstruct one of the most complex of these emotions -*‘GUILT'.* Guilt is most common encounter, which you all would agree that everyone goes through. On a daily basis from the minuscule to complex realities we have this feeling of regret, where we revisit our acts. The repentance on one's action is what constitutes guilt. Well, here I discuss guilt as an emotion not as it is defined in the legal domain. *So friends, have you ever realized that being guilty is also shrouded in flood of emotions? Every time you feel guilty it is attached to a deep emotion?* Well, guilt is a composite entity, which stems from a host of emotions. Let's discuss a few. **Guilt & Care**:- Care plays a very crucial rule in igniting guilt, we all feel guilty if due to our circumstances we end of hurting the ones we care for. This care amounts to a sense of repent- why did we hurt such dear ones? Let me give you an example:- there are times when I end up in a heated argument with my siblings or parents and this might lead to accusation but later I would feel the guilt that I disrespected them. This guilt is the voice of my conscience guided by the caring nature we have towards our dear ones. **Guilt & Responsibility**:- When we indulge in an irresponsible behavior, it is the sense of responsibility which resounds in form of guilt from our conscience. This happens with all of us when guilt stems from our lack of being responsible. Let me cite my example:- even if one day I sham from studies it makes me guilty that I am acting irresponsibly. **Guilt & Love:** - Love is at the back of every guilty conscious, be it love for a person or a passion. Have you ever wondered why after every fight there is a sense of remorse for that aggression which you showed? Maybe because love plays its part; one is always at fault to harm the one you love. Trust is what holds this fabric together but as one breaks it guilt stems. Thus love is an igniting factor for guilt. **Guilt & Conscience**:- Did you ever realize that guilt is in the real sense just a voice of your conscience where, though one is indulged into a wrongdoing of various magnitude but the conscience alerts one about the nature of such an act. No wrongdoing goes un-guilty, even a criminal is not free from guilt. It is only the ability of few to try to pay no heed to this voice of conscience or they hear and overlook it. The ability to act in accordance with conscience requires a control over one's senses. *What do you think about Guilt? Would love to hear your guilty encounters and their roots? Is it love, trust, care or responsibility for you?* If you like this post, please Upvote-Follow-Resteem.
