If we would have tilled our carrot patch it would have killed all the carrots we missed and then they never would have gone to seed. This is was not a big patch, it was only around 4x10 but it was loaded with lots of carrots.

 Since we had several frosts and lots of cold weather none of the carrots had any tops left on them so I had to dig them up with our homemade broad fork. My dad made a post on that if you want to see it. https://steemit.com/homesteading/@shalomacres/diy-broad-fork This actually worked really well since I could pick up a decent amount of dirt and then flip it over. This wasn't quite a full milk crate but it was pretty close.

With that harvest we got about three milk crates worth of carrots.  A couple of nights ago we brought about four pounds of these carrots to a friends and we came home with none. Here are some of them completely processed.
