A View While Geocaching
Sunday was a rare break from the cold and rain, so I decided to get the kids outside and of course, do some geocaching. One thing I have to remind myself is sometimes we have to stop staring at our geocaching devices and look around or we might miss the amazing world around us. We also have a duty to teach our children, who are non-stop bundles of motion to stop and notice the world around them:

This spillway was built in the early 1940s and is still doing its job today. I am amazed by feats of engineering that stand the test of time even without all the technology available today.

The day was so nice, we didn't want it to end. We lingered until the sun had almost set and it was nearly too dark to climb back up the rocks. I think I will bring the family back here with some trash bags to help clean up all the trash that mars this beautiful view.
