I purchased some Bitcoin Futures and whats Im doing during the current bloodbath.
It seems like the disclaimer "I am not a financial adviser etc" is appearing everywhere. Well I certainly am not one, but here's what I have been up to.

3 days ago I opened an account on Bitmex to experiment with margin trading and futures contracts. I'm well aware of the ability to loose a lot of money very quickly but market volatility is what makes crypto trading so exciting.

Im a firm believer in crypto and would never take a short position, so at around the $19000 mark I went long on btc, after all over time the trend is always up. If only I had waited till today. Now my office has nothing on the walls except a single piece of A4 paper with the handwritten words "Buy low Sell high" scrawled across it. As I'm watching all but 12 of the top 100 coins light up red, and bitcoin drop a lot closer to the $14000 mark, what did I do?

I went long!

I'm just buying more contracts to lower my average , and I have reduced my leverage for now down to 1x. This means bitcoin would have to drop below $7600 before I get liquidated. I cant see this happening and it does, lesson learnt.

It truly is an exciting time to be alive and I will leave you with one piece of advice

Buy low and hodl
