Hello to every comedian and my fellow bloggers in this community, it's my first time here, and after going through some posts that I found hilarious, I would love to share with you all one of my hilarious moments. I am a lady who believes that a man can do, and a woman can do even better. Even though there are some things a man can do that a woman shouldn't try, I will still argue that a woman can do better. [Image source](https://unsplash.com/photos/person-in-pink-zip-up-jacket-swimming-under-water-UrsIDtdBDVQ) I don't like saying the word "I can't" since childhood, I always wanted to try everything. There are three things I'm always scared of, height, darkness, and water. As much as I fear these things, I don't usually give in when I'm asked. Each time I try to prove that I can overcome my fear. There was a time I visited the swimming pool for the first time, as a naive girl who didn't know how to swim but did watch swimmers on the television thinking she could do better than they could. I never knew they don't usually breathe underwater. I wanted to show my aunt and uncle who took my cousins and me that I could swim even without undergoing training. I never knew there was something you could wear to make you float in water. As I was climbing down the stairs into the water, I was asking myself "How will you survive this baby girl?" I was giving my aunt a fake smile as I stepped into the water, and I saw a girl going down into the water and swimming fast, I wanted to emulate what she did but unfortunately, swimming isn't for me. I dived into the water and immediately water rushed into my head, I couldn't breathe and I started struggling in the water calling for help. The lifeguard came, dived into the water, and rescued me, my eyes were already seeing different colors of stars, and I was seeing myself in a different world when I heard my aunt screaming out my name. It was then I realized I was still alive. If I hadn't been rescued on time that day, it would have been a different story. My uncle and aunt were scared looking at me as if I were dead but luckily I got back to life. The great swimmer almost ended her life at that spot but I learnt my lesson though. After I had fully recovered, I couldn't make my mouth the way I used to because my cousins whom I always wanted to prove to had seen me fail woefully in one of the things I do claim I'm good at. "It's like the mighty has fallen, it's been a while since we swam, should we go to the swimming pool this evening?" one of my cousins asked me one afternoon, and instead of me to reply politely, I hissed and went into my room banged the door behind me because I knew she was making fun of me. From that day till now, I haven't visited the pool but I will try it soon and this time I'm not going to fail. Thanks for your time and your comments will be appreciated.
