# <center>The Ipcress File, Len Deighton. Signed First Edition.</center>

Here's another great Deighton piece. The IPCRESS File is Deighton's debut spy novel, introducing the cult figure of Harry Palmer (although his name remained anonymous for some time). Palmer was famously portrayed by Michael Caine in the film of the same name in 1965, a role he reprised twice in the sixties (including in Funeral in Berlin, as posted yesterday), followed by two further outings in the mid-nineties. I absolutely love the jacket design on this one. This is the first printing and is signed by Deighton on the flyleaf:
