SMAP Contest Round 82 - Bird with food
Thanks to @nelinoeva for the new contest.

And the theme of this week was - **Bird with food**

You can read the announcement and terms and conditions [here](https://ecency.com/hive-106444/@nelinoeva/feathered-friends-show-me-a-9c45111a04a0f).

**The common chaffinch or simply the chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)**

This male caught some green caterpillars for his nestlings. I distracted him a bit with camera shutter sounds.

**The Eurasian golden oriole (Oriolus oriolus)**

If you enlarge the photo, you can see that this most beautiful bird caught some large insect.

**The Eurasian nuthatch or wood nuthatch (Sitta europaea)**

One day I went to the city park to feed the squirrels and took some pine nuts with me. This, of course, could not go unnoticed by these nosy guys. One of them stole one nut right out of my hand.

**The coal tit or cole tit (Periparus ater)**

Early spring, the time when insects are just beginning to appear. This little one caught her lunch.

**The fieldfare (Turdus pilaris)**

The old cemetery is home to a large number of birds, especially thrushes. And they are very fond of worms, this is mainly their main food, they eat insects much less often.

**The white wagtail (Motacilla alba)**

This strange wagtail (which turned out to be a mutation on the muzzle and wings, as an ornithologist from our university told me about), was running along the concrete beams with an insect in its beak. It became clear that she was bringing this lunch to the children.

**The common whitethroat or greater whitethroat (Curruca communis)**

These birds always have such a crazy look, especially if the male also raises feathers on his head, it's soooo funny.

**The great tit (Parus major)**

Oh, and this was photographed by me in early spring. This bird grabbed this caterpillar and beat it hard and fast against the branches. Probably trying to stun.
