# Grow Research

So it's going to be legal for me to grow in Illinois with the passage of the new recreational laws. It won't be legal for everyone to grow, but medical patients will have the permit. Because of this I've been doing a lot of research to learn what I need to get as far as equipment is concerned and holy crap is it overwhelming. One of the main things that's got me tripped up is the type of light to use.

# HPS vs LED

At first I was thinking HPS but now I'm not so sure. HPS has for a long time been considered the industry standard, and a lot of the reading I've been doing seems to suggest HPS is the way to go to produce the highest quality. I started watching some youtube videos comparing the two, to get a visual/audio perspective. Most of the videos I'm watching are making the claim that LED produces a greater yield, more resinous buds, and higher thc levels. So now I'm pretty mixed up on what to go with. Quality LEDs are quite expensive.

# Recommendations

I know there's tons on here who can help me out. What do you all recommend? Links to products are helpful too! Tell me why you like what you like?
