I decided to promote steemit in Nigeria because I believe only steemit can bring our desired change since our government has failed. > I'll start by saying Nigeria is not a productive nation, we depend on other developed nations for eventually everything and I'll say that is the major reason for our underdevelopment. The major sector of the Nigeria economy is the oil sector, whichs provides about 90% of our export earning. As the price of oil keeps dropping our economy keeps shaking if nothing is done about it in the next 15 years Nigeria will be one of the world most poorest country. Agriculture was our major source of export earning before oil was discovered in Nigeria because of the greed we abandoned agriculture that has been feeding us. ###### One my ads on facebook I gave how steemit can bring our desired change. I said > Because of the current fall in oil price, it has lead to increment in price in 98% of our commodities and there by causing recession in the economy which has in turn increased the crime rate in the nation and also increased the rate of unemployment. Popular saying an idle man is the devil's workshop, because of the scarcity of job in the nation youth tends to do what they find easy to survive. Most of these youths are people with vision, people with ideas but because of the scarce means to implement their ideas they tend to let go of it and get a job, on seeking a job, no firm is willing to employ them because no funds to pay much workers( the aim of every firm is to make profit) and a rational business man won't risk it. Steemit has given us the opportunity to earn from blogging, to earn from what we know. So steemit in Nigeria can reduce the crime rate and also increase our export earning. ###### Then I gave a little briefing about what steemit is all about. > Steemit is a social media site where content creators (writers & authors) and curators (lovers of writing) earn money as they do what they love to do. The website is established on the economics of two currencies (STEEM and SBD), these two currencies is what you earn with on steemit. Oh don't be afraid of the whole cryptocurrency thing.
