It's time for the "at least you earn SMTH on Steemit" logic to die
I rarely write about Steemit anymore but here, I'll make an exception.

The "newsteem" is on and all of a sudden a lot of people who used to make under 4$ are making HALF. This is a huge psychological blow that will NOT lead to people go buying steem to have more voting power or buying votes or whatever. No, they'll just leave.

You know why?

Because, you ruined their trust in the good will of the platform. It seemed, for a while, that we're going in the right direction or at least there is an effort.

Now..no. It's clear the effort is not in favor of smaller people but whales. Sorry, but, smaller people are the real community, the real creators and where the real good stuff that might put Steemit on the map might come from.

Sorry, you're riding a little high to nothing.

And I can hear the counter: NO! they won't leave...they make MONEY here, whereas on Facebuk or Instagrey, they make NADA. CHECKMATE!
Yeah, no, sorry. 50 cents is not money for anyone worth having something to say or who puts his heart in whatever he creates. The difference is that on other platform, you meet people that care, you get likes from people who LIKE something you, you really build a community. Guess what? Community is more valuable than 50 cents.

Ultimately, these kind of changes will only create a greedy non-creative bullshit attitude.

Sorry, Steemit. I hoped better for you.
