The Battle Of The Best StableCoin Yield

Terra Luna’s stablecoin has taken the spot light this past week as its stablecoin, UST, is known for giving the highest yield. Giving 20% yield for saving and staking its stable coin which is quite high compared to other StableCoins whose yield is 10% maximum. So if you have some fiat you aren’t using, it’s wise to convert them to UST and stake them. Terra Luna’s stablecoin, UST, is backed by other assets like bitcoin, as you can see, Terra Luna has been making headlines for purchasing large amount of bitcoin chasing after Microstrategy who has been buying Bitcoin like he is going for grocery shopping.

Our dear HBD got increased to 20% APR making it a considerable option to UST, besides its decentralized. It’s backed by the Hive coin, unlike other StableCoins that is backed by the United State Dollar like USDT and circle’s USDC. This means that for every 1 USDT you buy, you have to pay $1 to pay for that. But recently, more StableCoins are being created to be backed more with crypto assets and algorithm. Speaking about algorithm, Justin Sun, the CEO of Tron Foundation announced that a StableCoin meant to be decentralized is about to be launched in May.

It is called the most decentralized StableCoin in human history according to Justin Sun and his team. That statement felt so wrong because, if that is regarded as the most decentralized StableCoin in human history, what do we classify the Hive Backed Dollar(HBD) as? Justin Sun’s Stablecoin called USDD is expected to give a 30% yield, which is higher than UST and HBD. Justin Sun is known as a billionaire who throws money around usually in the forefront ready to show off his wealth and throw some money to a problem. So it’s no surprise to me that he decided to make the yield 30% giving people more reason to choose USDD.

It’s still shocking that Tron which was launched in 2017 is still struggling below $1, may be it’s because of its enormous supply and Justin Sun’s lack of focus on just Tron. Having a 30% yield on its StableCoin is quite cool, but that’s not a big deal because in Hive we have options. We have the HBD savings option and the polycub StableCoin pool option which currently is above 40%. Once again, Hive is the crypto hub of the crypto world. Whatever you want on Hive, or what ever you are looking for, we have it here on Hive.

So far, my option still sticks to choosing polycub to hold 70% of my StableCoin yields because it will yield more than others. Leaving my HBD in HBD savings is great because of the loyalty I have for Hive. Terra Luna’s UST seems like one that lots of people trust a lot but I haven’t used it before, but I will like to do my research on it. But Justin Sun’s supposed StableCoin USDD is something I can only put for the 30% gain.
