Hi hivers, so when I joined Hive I had little ideas of  what crypto currency is and I was really confused. So I decided to do my little research and learn what it is so I don’t get confused. I’m willing and ready to learn new ideas on Hive. But first of all am excited to share what I have learnt.

When I made my first crypto transaction I noticed a series of letters called **Tx** and I assumed that to be transactions. Turns out I was right. I decided to check if the transaction is the same as that of the regular bank transactions. It is nice to understand that this type of transaction is blockchain based because it’s embedded on a blockchain. That means a transaction on a blockchain is an action that utters or changes the data of a blockchain. Blockchain transactions usually consist of four components

1. The role of the transaction : This means what action did the transaction play, was it a transfer transaction ?or was it a recipient?
2. What are the details of the transaction: This is where you know the amount of funds transferred or received, the person receiving the funds or the person sending the funds
3. The Fees : This is usually known as the gas fees
4. The digital signature 

The digital signature is not your regular physical or visual scribbled signature but a proof that you authorized the transaction. This proof is simply a cryptographic private key. That’s why on Hive you have an active key, an active key serves as your signature, anyone that possesses that signature has access to all your funds in your wallet.
