The volatility in crypto right now is outrageously very high, in crypto you can literally see someone turn $40 to $4,000 in a year. All the coin has to do is spike to 10,000% and the magic will happen. But we hardly see such in the stock market right now except few like Tesla. The stock market is over 50 years in existence, from the look of the chart you can see that at the initial stage volatility was quite high because a lot of people were getting involved on the new money making opportunity, buying lots of stocks and holding it. It got to something that seems like a peak and the volatility reduced.

This is something we are seeing in crypto right now. The volatility in crypto is currently high right now because people are pulling big funds from other sectors and dumping them in crypto. I was not there in the early days of stock and shares  but am sure that in the early days of stocks and shares it was probably like this. 

***What Do You Think The Volatility Of Crypto Will Be In 30 Years Time***

Currently crypto is just slightly above 10 years in existence with bitcoin being the first, but they are lots of cryptocurrencies that are way below 10 years in existence. In the next 30 years we are assuming that the price of crypto will be extremely high getting to probably a $20 Trillion Market Capitalization or higher. When the price gets this high, volatility is expected to be lower. Lots of people who had invested in crypto before then, that is now, will be extremely rich, making their portfolio so valued that they can pass the wealth to their generation. 

The price of bitcoin went down by $13k within a week, $13k used to be Bitcoin’s All Time High, that’s about 19% off Bitcoin’s price because the price went down from $68k to $55k. In 30 years time do you think bitcoin would be doing 15% decrease by then? Who knows just may be, bitcoin price would be like $1 Million by then. Writing about this and thinking of this is making me think that just the way it’s possible that volatility might slow down, it’s also possible that volatility might still be high by then. This is because of the utilities and use case of cryptocurrency and their technological advancements.

The TESLA stock is something we can use as reference. The volatility in Tesla stock is really huge and high, reason behind the volatility is because of Tesla’s Technological advancement towards electric cars. Tesla’s utility don’t just stop in producing cars, they maintain it, they provide solar roofing and behind the Space X that helps in building space shuttles. Right now the price for Tesla stock is $1137 per stock, a year ago this price was below $100. This means that the volatility is still high regardless of it being a stock. 


In my opinion I don’t really know if the volatility will be high or low, no one can really tell because no one can tell the future, anything can happen. Bitcoin market capitalization surpassed that of lots of companies that have been in existence 30+ years before it. So it’s possible that the volatility might still be high in 30 years time. Well time will tell.
