Hey guys, recently I noticed that my Hive vote value has increased all thanks to the value of Hive. Although I have 1,600 Hive power delegated to people so they don’t add to my vote value. I have 2400+ Hive power un delegated, here is where my true curation value comes from. I started Hive as a content creator or author with dream of being a good content curator. The community has been really kind to me with their support, so giving back to the upcoming content curators or newbies who have dreams of being a good content creator has been my dream.

My Hive power is quite small, not big compare to other whales, my Hive power is just over $0.1 on a good day. That’s 10 cents, this means that my curation gives me 5 cent and the author 5 cent each. 🤔 not bad, we are getting there, we will keep stacking. Curation trail and auto upvote was something I do when I couldn’t keep up with creating content, engaging, playing splinterlands and onboarding people on Hive. But lately I am beginning to have some time to curate manually. Curating manually is really cool, here you see lots of people who are working so hard to create quality contents on Hive. 

I am very active in posting in the Leofinance community but sometimes I go to other communities to learn by reading their contents, this way I find contents that teach me things, it’s amazing how much someone can learn from the blockchain. So yeah, being a content curator is cool, respect to all the manual content curators out there, you guys are great. 

**Things That Influence My Upvote**

We are all humans and the Hive platform is a social media platform where we socialize and interact with each other. It’s human instinct that when you see some one you are familiar with you upvote them. It’s like appreciating your friend’s work. So yeah, I upvote my friends when I see their content on Hive, because most of them came to Hive through me, so it’s right I support them. As long as they don’t plagiarize. 

The next thing that influences my upvote is  the content. I love when I read a post and learn from it, it gives me this sense of satisfaction. After reading the post, I get really overwhelmed and give this person a 100% upvote and a reblog for other Hivers to see. I am not a fan of lots of words, there are post that have lots of words and after reading them, I end up not learning or gaining  from what I read. I love short post that are precise and to the point. I love funny posts too, I love relatable post. 


Another thing that drives my attention to post and upvotes is the graphics. I appreciate pictures and graphics a lot, this is the reason I want to learn how to make graphics so I can be posting my contents with good quality graphics. When I was young, I only read novels with pictures and that has been my habit till today. So if a picture can get my attention, then I will create time to read them. 


Consistency is something that gives me joy, if a Hiver is consistent on Hive, it shows just how much effort they are putting in to make sure they be the best they can be on the blockchain and that is a good trait I love. Showing up everyday and putting effort on the blockchain comes with results that you will be glad you were consistent. Some people come on the blockchain and start seeing the rewards of others and get sad. These people didn’t achieve this overnight, it’s consistency and effort. 

So yeah, when I notice some consistency in a hiver I always feel good to upvote them.
