The web 3 is a revolutionize internet different from the regular internet you know because it’s decentralized. The regular internet we know is centralized by some entities and doesn’t give the user power over their contents.

All your life you have been using the other web which is web 2. There is a web 1 but I wasn’t born at that time, it was the internet used between the 1989 to 2005. Don’t have much usage then. But the web 2 is widely used. It’s the foundation for social media. The web 3 is expected to be more sophisticated and understand informations properly like humans. This will enable the internet give you better results when using it. 

This web 3 is expected to be much more transparent since it’s likely going to be on a blockchain and we have bitcoin to thank for that. Bitcoin created the idea with the development of the blockchain technology. Web 3 is expected to literally be an internet by the and for the people. It gives users the opportunity to earn from the internet without barriers. 

This is like taking the power of centralization from the individuals who made their wealth from the basis of centralization. They would try their best to centralize the web 3 internet but time will tell how the outcome will be.
