The project to develop a platform for cashback Benebit disappeared from the network after the ICO. Founders of Benebit could steal ethers for $ 2.7 million to $ 4 million, writes the publication Finance Magnates. According to Finance Magnates, ICO Benebit was one of the most reported in the media: the project team allegedly spent about $ 500,000 on promotion, and more than 9,000 people signed up for the Benebit channel in Telegram.  According to Rucrypto, during the ICO the startup collected about 590 aether (about $ 566 thousand) - this amount is indicated in the purse, which allegedly belongs to Benebit. Since January 22, the official Benebit website is unavailable, the Twitter account has been deleted, and all entries have disappeared from the Facebook page. In addition, the photos of the team Benebit, posted on the site, were a copy of the photos of the personnel of the British school.  One of the channel's administrators at Telegram said that the founders of the project may be in India. According to him, he was deceived by the creators of Benebit as well as other investors.
