Do you ever ask yourself questions like this? I did and I still do, but today I think I found the answer and reasons to why I'm here. Yes, one of the reasons is money, like you guys didn't join in to earn some. But there are better reasons to join STEEM than money, and here are three main reasons why I'm on STEEM.

## <center>The first reason - STEEM is future</center>

Simply put, STEEM is future. The reason behind is that there is nothing like STEEM on the internet and it is easier and more profitable to monetize your content on STEEM than on YouTube. Maybe something better than STEEM comes in future, but for now, we have STEEM and it is here to stay for very long time (at least I hope so).

In future, as I see It, people will lose jobs due to automation and there will be a lot of jobless people (I'm Software Engineer, trust me :P). People think this as a bad thing and it will be ugly for them if they don't adapt. Jobless people will need to find another way to earn income. I know I will sound like a jerk for writing this sentence, but I'm looking forward to this because our current way of living sucks and there is no better way of changing things around than taking people's jobs. I kinda hate and like my job, but I always dream of traveling around the world taking pictures and writing about it on SteemIt. Is this better way of earning income than flipping burgers or writing code whole day? Of course it is. If I get fired from my current job, I will focus even more on STEEM rather than searching a new job. My point is that people will have a hard time finding a new job in future and STEEM will be there to provide them an opportunity to work on something they actually love and earn income from it.

## <center>The second reason - STEEM is freedom</center>

This brings me to next point which is freedom. On STEEM you can gain freedom by doing anything you love and live from it. You have an interesting blog? Post it on SteemIt. You have a great video to share? Upload it on DTube. You love to stream video games or IRL? How about DLive? There is also DSound, DMania, Utopian, etc. and this is just beginning. Who knows what else will awesome STEEM community create.

My main goal is to achieve freedom in life. The life that is not dependent on the boring job. The life that would give me the freedom to go out and explore and learn about the world that surrounds us. The life where I will be able to sleep whenever I want and not wake up every day in the morning and go behind keyboard and type code like a zombie and never discover my true potential. STEEM is here to give me chance to achieve this freedom and I will take it.

## <center>The third reason - STEEM is here to show you that you are valuable</center>

On mainstream social media, you are valuable to the company and everything you do on their platforms is information worth money. They take information about you and things you do on their platform and sell it to anyone that wants to buy it. STEEM is built to flip this around. STEEM is here to show you that you are valuable and by using STEEM your value is paid off as long as you are active and providing value.

I have never been involved in social media before because it was waste of time for me until I found out about SteemIt. It amazed me. I actually can earn money by posting something this easily? I don't need to go through a bunch of bullshit, I just register wait couple days (or weeks, feel sorry for these guys) and start using the platform. I'm actually valuable here. It still amazes me that people are calling this a scam. It is simple, you provide value and get paid for it.

STEEM is one of the best things that happened in my life and these are three main reasons why. Now I'm interested in why are you here? What do you expect from STEEM to give you? Comment your answers below and follow me because I love you.
