I thought I would share a project I am doing for school right now. Its a project on aboriginal poverty on reserves in Canada, there are several steps we are required to do to become a professional on this topic because we will become advocates on the subject. Here is step one. Step 1 Colton Noel http://www.socialjustice.org/index.php?page=aboriginal-issues http://www.homelesshub.ca/blog/infographic-aboriginal-poverty https://www.ictinc.ca/blog/8-key-issues-for-aboriginal-people-in-canada https://www.thestar.com/opinion/commentary/2013/11/04/a_homegrown_solution_to_first_nations_poverty.html http://behindthenumbers.ca/2016/05/17/hidden-poverty-on-reserves-revealed/ http://www.cbc.ca/news/indigenous/institute-says-60-percent-fn-children-on-reserve-live-in-poverty-1.3585105 https://www.ictinc.ca/blog/reconciliation-and-donating-to-indigenous-organizations https://www.taxpayer.com/news-releases/ctf-proposes-to-end-aboriginal-poverty The issue I will research is aboriginal poverty on reserves in Canada. Aboriginal life on reserves in Canada is very poor. Many reserves suffer from lack of water, overcrowding, lack of infrastructure, and lack of education. The main victims of aboriginal poverty is, aboriginal children. Everyone blames the government for these problems, and in some ways they are to be blamed. Aboriginal poverty is a huge issue, and instead of going away it only gets worse. In Canada the aboriginal population is growing, and that only increases the problems they face, and makes it an even more pressing issue to deal with.
