Everyone wants to earn a decent return on a regular basis and if it is stable then it's even greater because earning will keep on coming regularly without any loss. We had hardfork 125 on 30th June 2021 and now we have the option to earn 7% interest on HBD (Hive Backed Dollar). This 7% interest rate was applicable in the last one month or so but will be hard for some change has been introduced and as a part of this change, it is required to move this HBD in savings to earn this interest. I have been earning 7% for almost over a month and earlier it was not needed to move HBD to save and now this is required. We have a saving option for Hive and HBD both and if move funds to savings then there is a locking period of 3 days applicable if we need to get these funds.

I can see a lot of people talking about this interesting earning option because it works on the stable coin HBD and we can expect HBD to stay around 1$ price value. I like this option very much and I can earn with HBD more than what I can get with banks here in India. Banks here pay about 5% on fixed deposits whereas I can get 7% here which is impressive. Now its surely a time to get more HBD and move to saving so that it starts generating interest. 

Some people say that curation is better than this but I think both have different fundamentals because we can earn about 14% through curation but if hive value dips then we will have the loss however with HBD it will not be the case. With HBD, the price value is expected to stay around 1$ and we can earn a flat interest of 7%. for example if I have 1000 HBD in my hive savings account then I will get 70 HBS in a year. There is a catch that since I will get interest monthly so if I continue to reinvest then I will end up having much better interest through my HBD.

Who does not like fixed income and here we need not worry about the price drop as its stable and it has not gone down below 90 cents for quite some time. Now I need to have a good balance of HBD and this will be another income for me however it will be more if I have more HBD locked. 

Its certainly a good time to accumulate as much HBD we can. Now I can say Hive is like a bank to me where I deposit my BDS in Hive saving account and will continue to earn 7% interest immediately. Another good thing is that I have full control of my account and I can withdraw anything with 3 days lock-in period and there is no penalty like banks do in many cases.
