Etherum validators can't exit!
Hello!

I was reading today about Ethereum staking and something caught my attention. It looks very easy to enter and start staking ETH, but when you want to exit the story is very different.

See websites:

Right now there is a big exit queue for Ethereum validators. More than 870,000 ETH are waiting to leave. That is billions of dollars locked, and the people who want their coins back need to wait many days. First you wait in the queue, then you also wait for the withdrawal process. In total it can take more than two weeks before you actually get your ETH back.

This system is made on purpose, to protect the network from big shocks if many validators leave at the same time. But for the user, it feels heavy. You enter with one click, but you exit with long waiting.

Some people are worried about the impact on the market. If all that ETH is unlocked at the same time, some holders might sell. That means more supply on the market, and maybe pressure on ETH price, especially compared to Bitcoin. Samson Mow even commented that this could be the last chance to sell ETH above 0.03 BTC.

I think this situation shows the difference between Bitcoin and Ethereum. With Bitcoin, you hold your keys, and you can move your coins whenever you want. Liquidity is always there. With Ethereum staking, you give control to the protocol, and you accept rules that can delay you.

For long-term investors maybe this is not a problem. But if you want flexibility or if you want to react fast to market changes, this delay can be dangerous.

Personally, I like to keep things simple. Staking looks attractive with rewards, but I prefer to hold Bitcoin directly, free and ready at any time. No exit queue, no waiting. Just sovereignty.

Stay alert, my friends, the market is moving fast!
Have a nice day!
