EXPLORING THE WORLD SINCE 199X

Greetings!!!

Hey, it’s me, @restlessadvntr! It’s my pleasure to meet you all. I’m here to share with you my life adventures and experiences from the beginning, middle and end, I’m an avid adventurer and a story teller at least. With this chapter of my life, let me share to you my profound experiences and lessons that I learned along the way weaving a tapestry of courage, resilience, and a deep connection with nature from sea to summit.

## GET TO KNOW ME ##

I was an INTROVERT, yes you read it right. Living in this chaotic world, full of doubts and uncertainties I prefer to be in my comfort zone. My room was my safest place that I consider where I can be anything and everything I want. My pillows were my lover, my phone was my best friend, and my pen was my refuge. But I know in my self that I’m a free-spirited nature lover. I love the nature and adventures. Things changed. How did it happen? Is it possible that an Introvert change into an Extrovert? Let me bring you to my story.

It started when one of my closest friends from college introduces me to mountain climbing. At first, I was hesitant because it was all new to me. Also, I don’t have the gear and equipments for mountain climbing. Most importantly I was worried because I was not physically fit and mentally ready. But there’s an urge to go and try new adventure. Because why not? I think this is the most common thing from a newbie, overthinking. Excited. Packed. Nervous but ready to go. Here comes Osmeña Peak. It is glorious I was in awe the first time I saw the mountain. A prototype of a chocolate hills from Bohol as I describe it. But I don’t want to dwell much on how beautiful the mountain is for a first timer because it is GLORIOUS. A lot of Cebuano knows about this mountain already and how it is easy to get there.

First is always the best and the most unforgettable experience in my mountaineering journey. Let me share you my 8 hours story from Osmeña Peak to Kawasan Falls traverse. Yes, 8 hours! Could you imagine an 8 hour of walking for a first timer. I bet no one is ready and happy for it. I was a scammed! That is why go with the flow is not always a thing.

Sundown came. We pitched our tents. We made dinner and socialize with the rest of the mountaineers. Had gin, food and talks. This is where I learned to talk to people and strangers. I never knew I could learn and trust people that I only met for the first time. It was a fun experienced. When the night falls, we were getting to know each other, have a deep conversation with another, suddenly, our organizer told us about our itinerary and meal plans for the next day. That’s when we found out that we are going to traverse Kawasan Falls. Felt excited and hyped. They said Kawasan Falls was 5 minutes away. No body told us about the 5 minutes… and 8 hours thing (every mountaineer would understand this phrase). Felt betrayed. That long, narrow, muddy, up and down trail takes forever. But nature has its unexpected turns and lead us to beautiful experiences. This is why I fell in love with adventure.

##
PASSION
##

***COOKING TURN INTO BUSINESS***

Growing up seeing my mom got invited to different occasion due to her abilities and mastery of Filipino Cuisine. Me and my brother were the assistant of my mom whenever she had an event to attend to. Our mom personally trained and taught us on how to properly slice all the meat, spices, and other ingredients according to the recipe. That’s where I got my ability. Cooking for the family for decades has been incredibly fun and exciting at the same time, having a father that is very meticulous and have a very strong taste buds has been a challenge for me up until now. Putting a food on the table to meet my father’s standard is always fun and enjoyable but nerve wracking at the same time. He was my first critic and always will be.

Since we talked about passion then let’s bring passion to business. As they always say find a job that makes you happy and you are passionate about. Cooking has been the family’s passion so, I decided to make it a living for the whole family. It was not a one-night decision. Putting up a business is not that easy. We make sure that we are ready to financially, physically and mentally. We offer food that comes from the heart, fulfills customer’s satisfaction, and everyone can afford. It is a student friendly restaurant. We don’t only offer food; we have drinks and quinch thirsting refreshments because food and drinks should come together. We just started, still have a lot to learn and a long way to go. But will strive hard.

## WHY AM I HERE? ##

By joining the HIVE, I really want to know what other people’s culture, there lifestyle. I want to socialize; I want to interact with people from different walks of life because by that we can learn from their experiences and we can apply that in our daily activities. I think it’s too early for me to promise anything being a Hiver coz I’m still navigating my direction in this new environment, however my willingness to share my story, experiences, challenges and learning will have an impact and lessons to this community and to all the people that reads my blog. It will still be a long journey. Let me have the authority to say this every after the last line of my blog. My favorite Cebuano word which is Padayon meaning Keep Going.
