## Happy Birthday Bitcoin - turns nine years old on Jan 3rd! ##

I just finished watching the Kaiser Report on RT News. Max Kaiser and his co-host Stacy Herbert (who is said to be his wife) were discussing the birthday of the Bitcoin Genesis block, first mined on January 3rd, 2009.  Tomorrow, Bitcoin will be nine years old. Can you believe it? During this episode of the Kaiser Report [Espisode 1170](https://www.rt.com/shows/keiser-report/414787-episode-max-keiser-1170/), Max and Stacy discuss bitcoin’s ninth birthday as it lives to die another day. They discuss both the genuine promise and the real hype in the cryptocurrency space.

It is obvious that Max Kaiser and his wife Stacy are fans of Bitcoin and the Alt coin markets and Max makes a bold prediction for 2018 - that a major central bank will break away from common ties with the world banking community and begin buying bitcoin to hedge itself against the crash of the US Dollar as the world's reserve currency.
