I read this interesting article on Medium today: “Ask Ethan: Will Future Civilizations Miss The Big Bang?” @StartsWithABang https://medium.com/starts-with-a-bang/ask-ethan-will-future-civilizations-miss-the-big-bang-7ed76caccbee . It has caused me to stray on to another, related topic...I don't get why people think the big bang and God cannot both exist and be true at the same time. Please share and help me understand. Science now has nearly proven our universe was created by a grand designer. Everything breaks down to math and pretty much binary code when broken down to it's smallest level. Check out Pi and especially the Fibanacci Sequence if you have doubts that everything from DNA to the number of spirals in pine cones, coconuts or flower petals are all part of a mathematical system found everywhere. Why is it impossible to ever go faster than the speed of light regardless of improved understanding and technology? Because in God's world, like all computers, there's a maximum processing speed that can't be surpassed. Why is it any crazier to believe our world was created by immense mathematics and coding that to believe Men were molded from clay or mud? And Eve from Adam's bone? None of this disproves any ancient religious text like the bible...unless it's taken literally throughout...instead of figuratively. Figurative speech/language is probably the best manner to teach a less intelligent person, such as children, important lessons. We do exactly that in fairytales or educational programs like Sesame Street and Dora. Why wouldn't God use that approach on mankind to make human civilization progress at a steady rate, as opposed to giving them all the knowledge in the universe. It seems to me that, as with an ant farm or such, God and humans would gain the most by allowing a plan to play out while observing. At a certain age, you start finding that stories like Jonah And the Whale have much more to teach you if you look for symbolism and begin to look for figurative meanings, especially when it doesn't agree with known science. Why give humans the ability to ask "what if" and natural desire to learn and explore but expect them to believe the Earth is only 5,000 years old. It simply is not. 7 days and nights makes for a simple to understand story about what all WAS created, or programmed by God. I'm not saying it's all figurative because it's full of historical facts, events and people.
