Getting those Steps in!
I do so love to walk, it's just the perfect gentle exercise, an easy up for one's physical and mental health.

I've had a couple of plus 20K step days recently, just perfectly naturally, one because of a long run and some other general walking around town, another because of a day out around Hampton Court flower show, which also involved a lot of walking, naturally.

Interspersed between these are some lower step days as you can see from my 'recent daylies' below....

### Recent daylies

All over the place!

This is just natural variation.... some days I'm out and very active, other days such as the 6K day is basically just a work at home day when I don't go out for a run and only have time to go into town once.

I mean I could force it and make a second trip into town for the sake of it, truth is that's the only place I'm likely to walk to but TBH it all feels a bit pointless.

The 9-11K days are just normal run days with one or two trips into town.

I don't normally go out for a walk just for the sake of going for a walk, it's got to be a natural fit with the day!

### Last month!

Spot the run days!

I'm not particularly fussed when I have a low step day, say 5-6K which is normally as low as it goes, in fact last month that was MOST days, however normally if I don't make the standard 10K a day target I'm floating somewhere above 8K, so it's easy enough for me to make this up with the 2/5ths of days that are above 10K, and most of those are well above the 10K!

I'm actually slightly surprised from the above that my longest >10K streak is only 3 days!

However my average daily is almost 11.5K, so that's all fine!

There's very likely a very strong correlation between the green days and my run days, which add on at least 4K steps and sometimes over 10K alone on the runs!

### Monthly totals for the last year...

I also took the opportunity to have a look at the totals per month, NB the average is artificially low because it's counting only the first couple of days in July, damn it!

I'm happy with how consistent this is Sept through to April, and then note the uptick in May! July should be strong as well, so far so good!
