Weeklyish Running Update: Three Standard Runs AND some new Asics!
One thing about just having had as near a full working week as I've had in 5.5 years is that I've also had a dearth of free time.

And when I'm time-short for some reason I find running just easier to do than circuits, it's just subjectively less effort, even though I tend to run for longer than I'd typically spend on a circuits session.

So I did three runs this week:

A long-ish run last Sunday, then a standard 5K round my usual circuit and finally some intervals...

### Sunday's long run

I really enjoyed this...

It follows some of the local 10K the local Couriers do once a year, it's a great route, a few hills, beautiful country side, along the river for a bit. Nice route to be out on a nice cool spring Sunday morning, can't get much better TBH!

### Tuesday's 5K

Faster than usual I am happy to say!

I opted to head into the local industrial estate to mix things up a bit, so ended the 5K just before a nice straight street that happens to be... 400 metres long so I added on this...

I regretted it about half way through, I set off too fast, but managed to hang on to the end.

### Friday's intervals

Warming up first then 4 proper paced ones - you can tell I was feeling it in the last 400. The last two were around the 3.45 mark per KM on average, I'll take that!

Not so fast, but happy to get them in!

### And some new running shoes...

I opted for the usual ASICS - before the run, with the tag on, these showed up this morning, my first new pair in, crikey, about 2 years!

### And after - yes it was drizzling this morning!

Not sure what's going on with the leg colouration there... red thighs and white calves, maybe it's because I'd just done intervals and the quads had had a workout, they were burning a tad, that's where I felt it!

### Next weeks plans...

I am tempted to stick to the three runs, I'm feeling it again now that winter is over and I'm even tempted to build up those long runs again, we will see how it goes!
