The world’s most powerful passport is determined by the number of Visa –Free entry a country’s passport has. In this regard, according to the 2018 Henley Passport Index, Germany has the Most Powerful Passport. The country has held this prestigious position for five years in a row. German Nationals can visit up to 177 countries without any visa requirement. The data is collected from the world’s largest and most comprehensive database of travel information- The International Air Transport Association. Although, Singapore overtook Germany in October last year, Germany managed to reclaim the top stop by the end of the year. In his words, “The Henley Passport Index shows individuals where they lie on the spectrum of global mobility, revealing the strength that their passport has in relation to other passports.” And in Africa, the country with the most powerful passport is the Seychelles with 137 visa –free access.
