A great investment opportunity comes up from somewhere. You need to invest right now, otherwise, you will miss the opportunity. So you feel the urge to throw your money quickly to get a huge return. Are you going to make a quick decision to invest your money for the long term?

When you make a quick decision to invest, you usually don't look into where you are investing and how much risk you are taking. Before making any financial decision to invest your money in any asset, you have to do your own research.

Most people lose money because they do not take the time to analyze and research before making investments. It takes time to grow your wealth. If you get an offer to make an investment where you get a high return, you need to be more careful about that.

So what are they doing to give you a higher return? What's their business model? How are they able to generate income so that they are able to give a higher return? Do they have comparative advantages and will their business be sustainable in the long term?

You make investments for the long term. If that's not sustainable, you will lose your money even though you get a higher return in the beginning. They just offer a high return to attract more people to get involved in their initiative.

When you think carefully and look for the answers that come to your mind, you will find the answer. But when you make a quick decision to invest, you do not get the time to do your own research and due diligence. As a result, you fall for the Ponzi scheme or make a bad investment decision.

People usually get into FOMO when they see lucrative investment opportunities with a high return. They do not consider the risk that comes with a higher return. You can blame other people and say they misguide you, but you are the one who makes the investment decision. They do not put a gun to your head to invest, I guess.

So take your time, educate yourself, and do your research and analysis first. Then you can make investment decisions. Here I am sharing my thoughts. I will not be liable for what you do with your money.
