 <p>When you learn martial arts, you will learn different strikes. Each strike is different and have specific purpose. At the time of making your move in a fight whether it is in a fighting competition or for self defense, you need to consider the distance.</p><p>The moment you see the attacker moves forward, you can stop him right there. You can kick him, that's a longest weapon. Elbow strike is very effective, but if you do not consider the distance, elbow strike will not do any good.</p><p>You cannot do elbow strikes in a kicking range. What's the point if you cannot reach the attacker (unless you set it up for next move)?</p><p>When you are in a punching range, you can get in and do elbow strike. It is not that you do elbow strike once and it's done. You can keep punching and doing elbow strike in a combination. Let's watch this video to see how to do it.</p><p>There are different variations of elbow strikes. When you are good at doing elbow strike, ask your partner to train with you.
