 In the years that Blockchain has been in service, Bitcoin is probably the most widely known success around the world. Avid Blockchain followers may know the in-depth happenings of the tech and the community but the mainstream market may be stuck in what they see and hear on mainstream media. Ethereum is also widely recognized and plays second fiddle to Bitcoin. However, during the same period of time where Bitcoin and Ethereum thrived, other Blockchain applications were created to serve humanity in different areas. To note is the speed of these old Blockchain and their Transactions speeds compared with the new [InterValue](https://www.inve.one/air/sys/percenter.html) Blockchain 4.0. We can no longer discuss blockchain without mentioning the New Baby on the block with a 1,000,000 TPS compared to BTC 3-6 TPS and Ethereum 120 TPS. These applications, known as decentralized applications due to their core function, require robust Blockchain systems to run efficiently and effectively. InterValue wants to be the robust system that will serve decentralized applications well into the future. Decentralizing current systems  With [InterValue](https://www.inve.one/air/sys/percenter.html), decentralizing the current centralized structure may happen swiftly. Nearly all decentralized applications offer the same services as centralized applications but with the added advantage of security, safety and transparency offered by Blockchain technology. The aim is to influence more people to join decentralized platforms as they stand to gain more from them compared to centralized ones. As decentralized applications become popular, a strain develops in various Blockchain protocols as they try to meet the growing demands of decentralized applications. Ethereum is facing this strain currently. It houses a large number of decentralized applications which are taking in more users daily leading to a delay in transactions. With a limited TPS of about 15TPS, it becomes difficult to meet these demands. Ethereum is working on methods such as sharding to try and meet the scalability demands of its protocol. In a bid to decentralize networks around the world, blockchain, as it is right now, may not be able to handle the traffic that may arise from billions as centralized systems do and this is where InterValue wants to come in. Protocols such as EOS and COSMOS have tried their hand in improving Blockchain with a few success and drawbacks a like, the most notable one being the recent failure of the EOS mainnet. InterValue’s protocol is coming up to solve the Blockchain conundrum with a concrete plan to actually solve it and ways to achieve its goal. There is a need for mainstream adoption of Blockchain with limited scalability in protocols and this is what InterValue wants to make possible through its protocol. InterValue  Blockchain 4.0 may soon be synonymous with InterValue. It is a project that aims to deal with blockchain’s shortcomings to provide a conducive, safe, secure and transparent environment where transaction of assets can be carried out through various decentralized applications based on this protocol.  Blockchain 4.0 aims to amplify the services provided in previous blockchains such as those provided by Ethereum and EOS. One of the main aims of Blockchain 4.0 is to meet the demands of a rising Blockchain user population and the expected rise in the near future. The success of Blockchain 4.0 may also result in an exponential growth in Blockchain users due to the benefits that users and platforms are likely to accrue from a revamped blockchain. The revamping process InterValue is undertaking is on the technical front to improve the safety, privacy and security of its protocol such that decentralized applications using the platform and users of these applications experience a more secure use of blockchain. Improved aspects of the InterValue Protocol  The goal InterValue has is to make its protocol as useful as possible. This means that it needs to run without any downtime. InterValue employs what any other protocol would, incentives to encourage miners to assist in transactions handled by the network. INVE tokens are to be used by the platform to reward miners whenever they complete tasks for InterValue. Keeping the platform running is one thing, keeping it running efficiently is another. InterValue requires more than just ever-present miners and nodes to run its platform. Speed of transaction is one of the main challenges that has caused the development of newer protocols over the years. TPS rates in the region of hundreds of thousands and even more are the targets most protocols are targeting now and InterValue is no exception. With great TPS, more decentralized applications can be served efficiently with little to no delays experienced during transactions. Fast transactions also mean that new clients, whether developers or users of Dapps, will enjoy services similar to those they were receiving in centralized platforms with the advantage of better security and privacy of blockchain. In improving the transaction rates, InterValue uses a double-layer consensus mechanism designed by its technical team. It consists of a HashNet consensus and a Byzantine agreement consensus. These two mechanisms work together to provide high transaction concurrency and first confirmation of requests. They are also essential in building ecosystems for different applications under different conditions to meet the transaction rates required.  Privacy is of a high value to the vast majority especially with the negative highlights that have been there on how user data is collected without their knowledge. People want their privacy respected and their transactions private with the only parties knowing the transactions being the two trading parties and even in this scenario, more privacy may be requested by the trading parties. InterValue will meet the needs of those who want their transactions as private as possible. The Zero-Knowledge proof system and the ring signature system are all going to be employed ensuring that even when trading parties are transacting, they only get confirmation through random characters. Users will not have to disclose their personal information at any point during the transaction. The Zero-knowledge proof system will provide trading parties with the assurance that the deal they are making is legitimate and that the opposite parties have held up their end of the deal according to the smart contracts. This will be applicable to all decentralized applications using the InterValue protocol that would want this feature. Having mentioned smart contracts previously, it is important to note the improved Smart Contracts designed by InterValue. InterValue has designed the Moses Virtual Machine (MVM) for its protocol which supports both declarative non-Turing complete contract and advanced Turing complete contract that have been programmed using the Moses language. The MVM is quite handy in accessing off-Blockchain data securely which may interest decentralized app developers. It also supports issuance of third-party assets in InterValue. Safeguarding Blockchain technology. It is alarming that Blockchain may seize to have any relevance once quantum computers become popular. The cryptographic method that Blockchain relies on may be done away with by quantum computers thus rendering Blockchain technology obsolete. There are however two ways in which Blockchain can be saved with the first one being a stretch, that is having Blockchain quantum computer, as production units have not even penetrated the market. InterValue’s solution is more practical improving on existing technology that will keep Blockchain running even after the age of quantum computers. New anti-quantum algorithms are being developed to replace existing ones such as the Keccak-512 hash algorithm that is set to replace the SHA series algorithm. With such improvements, InterValue will have multiple use cases. Here are some of the areas InterValue can improve,  • In communication, decentralized applications focusing on social media can find the platform beneficial in providing a user-friendly environment where user data is respected by all parties using the platform. • In the entertainment industry, applications can be developed based on the InterValue Blockchain that will ensure artists get their rightful dues and users get the content that they paid for. Digital asset transfers enabled by InterValue with its cross-chain feature will make it easy for cross platform digital exchange of content within the InterValue protocol which will avail more content for users to consume while providing artists with a wider audience. This will be an essential tool in fighting piracy that has been plaguing the entertainment industry for a long time. • Decentralized apps could be built on top of InterValue to provide education solutions. InterValue is a secure protocol with transparency at its core. Students and graduates can use decentralized applications to store their achievements such as degrees and diplomas and using InterValue Dapps to safeguard their important documents. These Dapps could also be used to disseminate lectures to students as the content will remain private and secured being shared to only those intended to. There is also the potential of using Dapps on InterValue as a reference for qualifications based on certificates provided by applicants. • Financial services are probably going to benefit most from InterValue. Security, privacy and anonymity are all the services one would want to hear about transactions in the financial sector and InterValue has the right tools and resources to make this possible. Financial Dapps built on top of InterValue will definitely interest a lot of users.  From the different use cases, which have not even been exhausted, it is clear that blockchain, and in particular, InterValue, has a great future that needs to be safeguarded and advanced to meet the demands of the world’s population.
