Tomorrow is it—the hard deadline for TWB Sci-Fi Contest! I have to say, I’m totally stoked about this. We brought some fine talent out of the Steemit woodwork, and even if people don’t place in this competition, they’re certainly gaining an edge on new contests that may come up soon. We’ve seen tremendous potential emerge, confirming my personal belief that Steemit is home to some of the greatest writing talent in the world.

Once tomorrow has passed, I’ll pick five entries out of the field. The others will then be free to post on Steemit, but I’d urge all of you in that group to confer with us about curation potential. Our help won’t end just because you aren’t in the top five. We’ll help you maximize your chances to get some love from Steemit’s top curation teams. No guarantees, but we know what they like, and will try to help you impress them as much as we can.

The top five entries will then be fine-tuned by a select group of editors, and over the period of one week, we’ll choose an overall winner as well as winners in several other categories. 

The Writers’ Block will award prizes for the following categories of excellence:

1)	Best Overall
2)	Most Improved
3)	Best Character Development
4)	Best Original Plot
5)	Best Line

Other categories may be added. Also, entrants may win multiple categories. None of the top five finalists will go away empty-handed.
