Picking oranges and fertilizing my little vegetable garden

# In the picking of delicious oranges

This is a good time to pick some delicious oranges in my little vegetable garden.
This orange tree must be about 4 years old and it was given to me by my father who, in addition to it, also gave me a tangerine and a lemon tree.
Every year its growth has been great and this year it was filled with delicious oranges.
Sometimes with the wind some fall to the ground earlier but if they are good I usually keep them and after a few days they mature and you can make delicious orange juices that delight my family and especially my children.
But soon I'll have to trim because I want it to go up a little more because it's next to a small path that gives access to a small storage room where I keep all my garden tools and it's covering a little like this.

As you can see this orange tree, this one loaded with oranges has a huge weight, this year will be a good harvest.

This orange color makes us see when they are ripe and can be picked, we also saw this for their aroma that the more mature they are, the more intense when we smell this aroma.

# Fertilize and weed the cabbages

Another of my hobbies in my little garden at this time of year is cabbage, which is a delight especially at Christmas time here at home.
But in order to be able to harvest good cabbages we have to take care of them and after the plants have been fertilized it is time to fertilize them a little and remove their weeds since as it has been a rainy season these herbs in a few days appear everywhere and we have to remove them so that our cabbages can receive all the nutrients from the soil and not be harmed by these herbs.
The method is called weeding. This method consists of putting a little ammonia in the soil as you can see in the following photographs and then with a hoe we chop the soil and remove the weeds or at least most of them.
The ammonium used serves as a fertilizer in the soil which helps the plants to develop better.
Depending on the type of soil where we are planting, there is always a lack of some nutrients and with ammonia we will make sure those nutrients are in the soil for the plants to absorb and grow healthier and in a more balanced way.

As you can see in these photos, the ammonia has this shape and is placed in the ground before weeding, so we have to water the land with the ammonia to dissolve it a little so as not to burn the roots of the plants because it is a little strong and with the water dissolves in the soil.
It is natural that some plants the next day appear a little wilted, as we had to bring the soil closer to the roots, but after a few days they return to their original shape and gain even more strength in their growth.
