Google Images When I got to college I was terrified of getting embarrassed going up against "America's best and brightest"... And then there were the students. Most of them weren't even working at what I would consider the Jr. High level. In fact the people in Adult Ed were light years ahead of the high school grads at college... the sad part is that it wasn't their fault. There were a few smart kids there- very few. They, lamentably, made up maybe 5-10% of the total student body. Quite frankly, the professors weren't much better. If you don't have people capable of teaching, how can you expect kids to excel. Most of the professors were ideologues only interested in indoctrinating and radicalizing the student body. This indoctrination carries over into the public school system when they become teachers. In a previous post I did, someone made a really pertinent comment- one I had overlooked, not having gone to public school. Years ago public schools were controlled locally- administrators and teachers were responsible to parents and the local school board. It was only after the school system became nationalized that it fell prey to the US Dept. of Education and the NEA. The curriculum became nationalized- one size fits all. (Thanks so much to whoever made that comment- Great point!) When the curricula became nationalized, it's almost axiomatic that it became easier to control- a testament to central planning. Tests became standardized and when students were unable to pass them- the tests were dumbed down so naturally, score went up and the NEA claims victory... The children pay the price. $700Billion a year spent on education in the US so that we can lag further and further behind in math, science and other useful (marketable) subjects. (See link below) While other students around the world- even in less developed countries- are learning subjects that will help them in a competitive job market, little Johnny can barely read or write... But he feels good about himself. While he's studying things like "Billy Has Two Daddies" and The Joys Of Anal Sex" the educational establishment is using the old bait & switch to turn America into a moral wasteland. The educational establishment, you see, doesn't want children to learn. Educated children grow up into discerning, literate adults- adults that can see through their bait & switch ponzi scheme. The American educational system is the worst, most profound case of consumer in recent history. Generation after generation of functional illiterates are pouring into the job market, carrying with them worthless diplomas (including BA's,) and no skills. But, on the bright side- they all feel good about themselves... And they have their trophies! http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2017/10/k12_central_planning_and_participation_trophies.html
