[I'm starting to feel like a one-man publicity department over here- but this is important, I think]

I posted a couple of days ago about how easy, quick and convenient Blocktrades is to use- today I want to talk about something even more important. If you still have any reservations about using them, this should dispel any and all doubts.

When I posted my plea for help the Steemit community stepped up big time! One friend in particular really went above and beyond (out of respect for this person's wishes, I won't mention names) and sent me a LOT of steem. way more than I felt transferring at one time- not out of mistrust of exchanges, but out of mistrust of my own computer abilities (this will become apparent in a minute). So, I transferred it 100 or 200 steem at a time. When it came down to the last 200, yesterday, I went to Blocktrades to put it on my Bitpay card.

I went through the normal procedure... I got the address from Bitpay, copied & pasted it into Blocktrades. I copied the address Blocktrades gave me and pasted it to my Steemit wallet. Usually, this whole procedures takes around 3 minutes until I get confirmation from Bitpay... they have a 15 minute invoice countdown. This time it counted all the way down and NOTHING! I looked on Blocktrades and it was like before... I went to my Steemit wallet and the 200 steem was gone. I sent Blocktrades support an email knowing it was Sunday and I'd probably have to wait until Mon. for a reply (I had forgotten the holiday).

I went back to my Steemit wallet and checked my transferral history... We all know the disclaimers that exchanges give us when transferring funds- "Make sure ALL information is correct" (or something along those lines). The address in my Steemit wallet looked wrong- it was the Bitpay address, not the one from Blocktrades. When I copied the one from Blocktrades, it didn't take (not the first time it's happened with my clunky old computer). It was my mistake!

I'm no hypocrite... I always tell people if you make a mistake- own it. You suck it up and live with the consequences. Bitterly disappointed (with myself for not checking) I went back to work on the post I was writing. Within 15 minutes- on a Sunday of a holiday weekend- I got a notification that I had received 200 steem from @blocktrades. Now that's integrity! If you're not using Blocktrades- I would seriously reconsider! (You can see my previous post for the tutorial)
