Good day, hives! Life is so draining lately, do you feel the same? So, let's take a moment to get rid of stress and turn it into fun, together with friends and loved ones. 

Birthdays are not just about cakes and gifts, it's also about making memories. Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of celebrating my friend's birthday and it turned out to be the most enjoyable day I had ever spent in a long time. Every corner of the place was filled with laughter, screams, and heartfelt conversations which made every second feel extra special. 

**THE MOMENT BEFORE**

It's ten in the morning when we are officially ready to gather at my friend's house (the birthday celebrant). The day began with us planning to surprise her by buying her a gift that would make her remember that we were once part of her life. We are very thankful for her mother who made this celebration happen and without her, we could never done this. 

**ARRIVED AT THE VENUE**

After the preparation, we headed to a beach resort which is the most visited beach resort here in our place, the San Remigio Beach Club (SRBC). Upon arriving, we are very amazed by its breathtaking view, from the entrance to the inside. Our amusement indicates that we won't leave this place with regrets because just by looking at its view, we knew that we would truly enjoy staying there. 

**THE POOL**

Our first destination is the pool area. As the water touched the concrete flooring, our excitement built up making us unstoppable, and just a few minutes later, we found ourselves diving into it. 

The sliding captured our interest and so we urge you to try it. At first, I was hesitant because just by looking at it, I felt scared. But when I tried it once, I kind of had this feeling of addiction and then I kept on sliding for the next few minutes. I couldn't hide my laughter when most of my friends hesitated to try. I kept on convincing and gaslighting them that it was so okay when in fact I, myself, knew that it wasn't good for the feeling on the first try. What's funny is that they literally never tried sliding until the day ended. 

**LUNCHTIME**

After tiring ourselves, we got out of the pool to take our lunch since most of us were hungry already. The delicious smell of human babot, luncheon manok, and pancit (different serves of Filipino foods), which was prepared by the mother of the celebrant, greeted us.  The first thing we did was to pray for the food and then afterwards, we ate peacefully. After the delicious lunch, we kind of had this thing called 'jamming' where we sang a lot of vibing songs with nothing but a guitar as our musical instrument. One of our friends prepared a song for our birthday friend that truly amazed us because she was perfectly talented. 

**PLAYTIME**
Finally, it's time to play! It may be childish to hear but after the digestion of food in our stomach, we decided to play. One thing that is good about this beach resort is that they include a play station that whether a child or an adult will enjoy.

We tried first the pop-a-shot, which is something that refers to an arcade basketball game featuring a slope net base that returns the ball to the player (definition from Google). It was undeniably fun because it was very hard to shoot the ball in the ring which made us laugh and question ourselves, was it really hard or we are just dumb enough to not make a single shot? Kidding aside, it took us a while before making our exit and going to another spot.

Next is the seesaw, a playground equipment consisting of a long and narrow board, balanced on the center which is intended for two people to alternately go up and down by shifting their weights (definition from Google). I very much enjoyed it since the last time I tried it was when I was very young and by simply doing it, I slowly realized that I was healing my inner child. 

**PICTURE TAKING**

Of course, outings would never end without taking tons of pictures. Every corner of the beach resort, we took a photo of it. The view was really nice, enough for us to fill up our storage. But we were a little disappointed as the sun failed to set because it was covered by gloomy clouds. Nevertheless, we still captured the best photos that are truly worth it to be flexible. 

**ENDING THE DAY**

The celebration ended with memories that would never be forgotten. As we bid our goodbyes, smiles flashed on our faces, very thankful for the presence of each and every one of us. Upon turning to our respective homes, we still thought about how this day was special, filled with laughter, love, and genuine happiness. 

**A DAY TO REMEMBER**

This day was more than just a birthday celebration, it was a reminder of how friendships are precious. Days like this truly make life worth cherishing. Spending quality time with friends is one of the greatest joys in life and without a single doubt, this day is a day spent well.
