How I motivate myself to rise from failure!
*There will be time in our life that we will lose our motivation in life. There are variety of reasons for this, but the most obvious culprit is failure.*

*It's normal for a person to fail. In our life we will experienced countless failures. After all no one is a born winner. Those who think otherwise are clearly delusional. Even those successful and famous people you usually see, hear or read in television, radio and newspapers have experienced multiple failures before achieving success.*

In this article I will write how ***I*** motivate myself to carry on despite the difficulties and failures I experienced. The methods I use to motivate myself might not work for all but you can use it as reference to develop your own.

## <center>Things I do to motivate myself</center>

>### <center>Treat yourself to a delicious meal</center>

- I'll first start off with my favorite method to motivate myself. Eating! I believe eating is the most popular method to fight depression and motivate ourselves. I often see this method used in media like movies and books.
&emsp;
In a situation where you are feeling depressed or unmotivated, treating yourself to a delicious meal is the one best way to get out of that depression and motivate yourself. Others might not reward your efforts but ***YOU*** certainly can. So throw that diet plan in the bin and just eat anything you want! Just don't forget to exercise afterwards.

>### <center>Go for a long walk</center>

- Going for a long walk is a very healthy way to motivate yourself. Destination doesn't matter when going for a walk. What important is to give yourself a breather and a change in surroundings. This will not only motivate you, it might also give you the inspiration you're looking for.
&emsp;
This method is best used along with the first method as it gives you the chance to exercise as well. Just don't forget to bring some money for a ride in case you find yourself too tired after walking too much.

>### <center>Listen to classical music</center>

- Whenever I feel down or unmotivated I developed a habit of listening to classical music. This is an advice given to me by a friend in highschool. He used this method to fight his chronic depression. It was something that his physician recommended him to do. It is in fact a method backed by science and is often used by medical practitioners.

>### <center>Meditate</center>

- This method is another favorite of mine. Meditation is a popular method used by a lot of people. It helps both body and mind. It can also help you spiritually. Meditation have been used since ancient times and many famous historical figures are known to use meditation as a method for spiritual enlightenment. 
&emsp;
Today however, meditation have more uses than just spiritual enlightenment. Myself, for example uses it to help calm my mind and motivate myself.

>### <center>Stay away from depressing stuff</center>

- Depression always come hand in hand with failure. They are like conjoined twins, they are always stuck together. It's normal to be depressed when we fail, but we must not wallow in depression. The best way to fight depression and motivate ourselves in the process is to stay away from depressing stuff.

When I say depressing stuff, I mean things like reading depressing books, watching depressing movies, and listening to depressing music. And oh, avoid depressing news especially, they are the worst culprit. But since majority of news are depressing it's better to avoid them altogether until you get out of your depression.

>### <center>Always think of positive things</center>

- This is can be considered as the exact opposite of the above method. This should be a no brainer. Thinking of positive things will develop a positive mindset. A positive mindset is extremely important if you want to achieve success.

People with positive mindset doesn't need much to motivate themselves. Since they are *almost* always motivated and will just consider failure as method that doesn't work. Thomas Edison is a good example of this.

<center>If you want to always stay positive, watching, listening, and reading motivational mediums like videos, music and books is highly recommended.</center>

>### <center>Talk to someone, anyone</center>

- Humans are social animals and we tend to get comfort from each others. Go talk to people who are willing to listen to your complaints and can give you good advice. Best try to talk to your parents, siblings, lovers and friends. But if they are unavailable or unable to provide you with the advice you seek, you can always seek professional help. 
&emsp;
These people are always ready and willing to give us the help we need. Some will charge you for it but others will give their service without asking anything. This is especially true with the advent of the internet. Here in Steemit alone you can find a lot of motivational or self help articles and videos just waiting to be read or watch.

>### <center>Stay far, far away from toxic people/environment</center>

- Though we humans like to socialize a lot. We should choose the people we befriend and mingle with. If you want to be motivated, stay far, far away from toxic people. These people will ***NOT*** motivate you, they will do the opposite instead and bring you down. Unfortunately there are a lot of them around, they can even be members of your own family. 
&emsp;
If that's the case, you can't do much to avoid them unless you live separately from them. I'm not telling you to broke ties with them but rather, to stay far away from them until you get out of your depression and get your motivation back.
